Cut, Sew, & Press

Women are always welcome to come and help sew the dresses and shirts. There are many steps to make these outfits and a variety of skills are needed – cutting out hearts and stars from scrap fabric, ironing, simple sewing tasks and more complicated sewing such as the applique work. We meet every Wednesday morning at Apache Wells Community Church in Mesa, Arizona, to work together to make as many dresses and shirts as possible. Because Dresses for Orphans meant so much to my Mom, she named the organization as one of her beneficiaries in her will. Mom loved serving at DFO and talked about it constantly. It blessed her and gave her such a purpose. She felt part of the family and considered all the ladies her friends. Thank you for the positive impact you made on my Mom’s life.
